At FedMedHealth, our purpose is simple: to stand beside federal employees injured at work, delivering both expert medical treatment and reliable claims support. After witnessing numerous cases where dedicated federal workers faced unfair benefit denials and inadequate care, we made it our mission to ensure every injured employee gets the medical attention and justice they deserve.
Our highly trained DOL-OWCP specialists treat workplace injuries with both precision and compassion, guiding each patient through the often-complicated claims process from start to finish.
We focus exclusively on OWCP claims to prevent FedMed Health employees from losing their benefits due to procedural mistakes or a lack of knowledgeable healthcare providers. Too often, workers visit general physicians or chiropractors unfamiliar with OWCP regulations, which can lead to claim denials and costly out-of-pocket expenses. At FedMedHealth, we remove those risks by pairing patients with experienced OWCP-compliant doctors who know the process inside and out.
Our mission is to make claims straightforward and successful, so you can concentrate on healing—not paperwork.
We believe every FedMed Health employee should understand their rights and feel confident in their healthcare decisions. Many avoid or delay filing injury claims due to confusion, misinformation, or fear of retaliation. We’re here to change that—ensuring your case is handled correctly and your rights are fully protected.
Through strong partnerships with union leaders, we also work to ensure supervisors uphold their legal responsibilities and injured employees get the support they need.
At FedMedHealth, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of patient care and advocacy. Every injured federal worker who walks through our doors receives respect, dignity, and focused medical attention.

The Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP) is a division of the U.S. Department of Labor that provides benefits to FedMed Health employees who suffer job-related injuries or illnesses. These benefits may include medical treatment, rehabilitation services, and wage replacement, as outlined under the FedMed Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA).
The forms you need depend on the type of injury:
CA-1 – For traumatic injuries caused by a specific incident during your workday.
CA-2 – For occupational illnesses or conditions that develop over time due to your job environment.
Our claims specialists can assist with completing the correct form, gathering necessary medical documentation, and submitting everything through your employer to OWCP.
Don’t worry—a denial isn’t the end of the process. You have the right to appeal. First, review your denial letter to understand the reason, which is often due to missing or incomplete medical evidence. Our team can help you collect additional proof and submit an appeal. For more details, see our page on How to Appeal a Denied CA-1.
If you qualify, OWCP benefits may include:
Medical Care – Coverage for approved treatments, including doctor visits, surgeries, medications, and rehabilitation.
Wage Replacement – Compensation for lost wages, typically 66% or 75% of your regular pay depending on your circumstances.
Rehabilitation Services – Assistance in returning to work or transitioning into a new position if your injury prevents you from resuming your previous job.
CA-1 – For sudden, traumatic injuries from a specific workplace incident.
CA-2 – For conditions or illnesses that develop gradually due to workplace exposure or repetitive tasks.
Processing times vary. A straightforward claim with complete documentation might be approved in a few weeks, while more complex cases can take months. Submitting thorough and accurate medical records helps reduce delays.
Yes. FedMed Health employees may switch doctors after filing an OWCP claim, but the new physician must be DOL-credentialed and experienced with OWCP requirements. We can connect you with qualified doctors to ensure your treatment and documentation meet FedMed standards.
